  ABOUT THE FOUNDATION

The Lungi foundation was founded in February 2007 by Miss Lungi J Naidoo and was then registered as a Non-Profit Organization with registration number 053-368.
The main objective of the foundation is to assist Primary Schools by raising funds and donations to fulfill their everyday needs as well as enhance their performance at school. Primary schools are pre-registered as recipients of various grants and donation by the foundation, which in turn distributes to the various schools

Miss J L Naidoo is a South African R&B entertainer, largely influenced by music on South African radio that she grew up listening to. This music created for Miss Naidoo, a lifelong passion for music which she has since put into a musical beat of her own.

Born in Kwa-Zulu on a farm in Stanger to an Indian father and African mother, Miss Naidoo grew up struggling against the prejudices of South African society.
She was lucky enough though to witness first hand her parents’ enduring love for each other, as well as their determination to rise above all of the challenges that their love presented.

  ABOUT THE EVENT

We would like to create awareness about the poor conditions in which these schools are in and facilitate assistance in the form of our newest project called “Dress A School Child” in order to bring love and hope to the children at these schools especially now as we approach this cold and rainy winter.

We would like to encourage business and the community at large, to participate in this charitable and noble cause.
Looking forward to your most valuable contribution, no matter how small ... to bring a smile of hope to at least one previously disadvantaged learner.

Our plea to you is to help us make this day possible as most of these schools are based in rural areas and seem to be forgotten.

We believe that if as a community we can start focusing on real situations and people who really are in need we will conquer poverty. And more importantly bring happiness back to children who so desperately need. Media will be invited and all sponsors will be required to be present on the day to give their sponsor directly to the children.
We pray our request comes at a time where you are able assist us in building a better KZN.

Regards

The Lungi Foundation
